New Soup
Just tried an experiment I found to be quite tasty.
Heated 2 cups of pumpkin soup just to the boil, stirred in a tablespoon of peanut butter and 3 handfuls of puffed wheat. My gosh, it was good! Nutritious, too, as it has balanced protein, lots of different vitamins and plenty of both soft and "hard" fiber.

I'd love to try this but only I would eat it since picky hubby won't eat anything squash.
When we can tied the balanced diet and the good tasting this is a wonder . Bravo Sill and Happy Easter.

Sil, that recipe seems healthful and I love all the parts individually, but have to reserve opinion on how it would taste altogether. Is the pumpkin soup homemade? Makes me want to make some soup soon..... but I wonder if Cheeri0s would do instead of puffed wheat? I do enjoy making weird things from the cupboard..

Thank you for sharing that!
@BLB - Oh, I know how opinionated some folks are about certain foods!
@fauquet - Thank you, Michel. May you and your family have a joyous Easter, too.
@crowbelle - It would be hard to duplicate in the states, Bex. What the Koreans call "pumpkin" is Hobahk, which we just don't have in the US. The nearest thing would be a Hubbard or butternut squash. They slice it in the fall and dry it for winter storage.
I get a sort of flour, made from the dried slices, in the grocery store for making the soup. It's made with just a scant teaspoon of sugar for about 3 cups of water and a cup of the powder. (I've had soup made from fresh hobahk and it's delicious, but it's a seasonal thing here, only in the fall.) {I checked on-line for hobakjuk recipes, and they are all dolled up with pine nuts, sweet beans, dumplings, and fruit! More like dessert puddings than authentic soup.}
Also, the puffed wheat is freshly made, popped in a compressed air chamber which releases with a loud bang, as if "shot from guns"...LOL! It's unsweetened. Cheerios might work quite well. If you boil some squash and puree it, you'd have something close. Then add the peanut butter when you've got it hot in the blender, a heaping tbsp. per serving.
I like, Sill, the pupkin soup ( I add some suggar in it ) .
Thanks for your commrent about my friend Odile . Next time if it is posible i will sing to her a song from our choir .
